Staff Software Engineer, Pigweed

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another

• Design and develop microcontroller platform modules
• Manage low-level C, C++, Rust, occasional assembly, as well as Python-level scripting and test development
• Propose new modules and help define the areas that are most impactful for the team to create
• Provide technical leadership on projects, support client and partner teams, and facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
• Influence and coach a team of engineers
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in software development
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
• 2 years of low-level software development experience (e.g., C/C++/Rust) and in software design principles
